Cafe Rack (Emeryville) is seeking committed, reliable and hardworking Bartenders that would like to join our team.
Bartender Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
- Drink Preparation & Service:
- Take and serve drink orders promptly.
- Mix and pour drinks, including wine, beer, and cocktails, following standard recipes.
- Ensure proper portioning and measurements for consistent quality.
- Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Customer Service & Engagement:
- Greet customers warmly and provide menus.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customers’ alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient food and beverage service.
- Bar Maintenance & Cleanliness:
- Keep the bar area clean and sanitized.
- Wash glassware and maintain bar tools and equipment.
- Restock liquor, mixers, and bar supplies as needed.
- Maintain and monitor beer tap coolers.
- Operations & Inventory Management:
- Collect payments and provide accurate change.
- Manage bar inventory, track stock levels, and place orders as needed.
- Arrange bottles and glassware for an attractive and organized bar display.
Bartender Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Accuracy and efficiency in task execution
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and guidelines effectively
- Adaptability to menu or policy changes
- Knowledge of beverage service safety and responsible alcohol service
Education and Experience Requirements:
- MUST have reliable transportation
- High school diploma or GED
- Two or more years of bartending experience
- Mixology certification or license preferred but not required
- Knowledge of industry best practices and proper pouring techniques
- Must have an active food handler’s card and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certification

Pay: $20.00 per hour Tips - $2800 base bimonthly salary with management experience
