The Teresian House is currently hiring RN Nurse Manager. This opportunity is Full Time and consistently Day Shifts (6:45am - 3:15pm)
Role Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Interdisciplinary team, oversee the care of all the residents on his/her neighborhood.
- Create and maintain a work environment that promotes and fosters a resident centered care model with a team approach.
- Initiate and complete all investigations of incidents on unit within five (5) calendar days of discovery. May assign designee in his/her absence. Ensure that proper documentation is completed. Keep Nursing Administration aware of all investigations and submits completed investigations to Nursing Administration.
- Ensure work schedules are completed for all team members according to approved budgetary guidelines.
- Oversee and contribute to recording of all documentation on unit including intake and output, weights, ambulation logs, etc.
- Monitor the units (by making "rounds", conducting audits, or completing surveys, etc.) to assure that all personnel are utilizing appropriate techniques regarding accident/incident prevention; sanitation; infection control; fire safety; disaster preparedness and emergency care. Inform Administration, Nursing Administration, Infection Control Team, or other appropriate people of concerns.
Qualifications of RN Nurse Manager candidates:
- Graduate of a State approved school of nursing, Associate's/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Possess current license as Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Possess CPR certification (preferred)
- At least one year's experience in Long Term Care supervisory capacity.
- Must have demonstrated administrative ability to deal with required nursing functions.
- Must be able to communicate verbal and written instructions to all levels of staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Infection control Policies and Procedures
- Genuine interest in the care of geriatric residents
- Willingness to perform any and all duties to support Teresian House "Resident-Centered Care" concept
- Ability to make decisions independently within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act

Salary : $35 - $40
