We’re seeking for a Campus Steward to join our TERI team!
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Inspect designated area(s) to assess scope of necessary cleaning.
- The ability to pick up and dispose of all trash into appropriate trash barrels.
- Vacuums floor coverings and upholstered furniture using backpack vacuums or upright machines as appropriate for each location; transports vacuum to subsequent location.
- Cleans and polishes fixtures including metal, plastic, and other furniture.
- Moves furniture of varying sizes and weights to enable cleaning around the area and returns furniture to its original position when cleaning has been completed.
- Dusts desks, pictures, ledges, walls, machines, blinds, fixtures and equipment which may require the use of ladders or long tools that require overhead reaching appropriate areas.
- Fully services restrooms by cleaning and sanitizing counters, basins, toilet bowls, showers, mirrors, wall, floor, and all other areas.
- Check inventory and restocking supplies in appropriate areas such as: supply closet, restrooms, etc.
- Washes fixtures, walls, and railings ranging from floor to ceiling level throughout the Institute.
- Sweeps and cleans sidewalks, walkways, stairwells, and other common areas, offices, which require constant bending, stooping, standing, and walking.
- Operating heavy power equipment to steam clean and shampoo floor to ensure spotless surfaces. Consolidates and differentiates recyclable materials of varying weights, bulk, and dimensions into appropriate sorting receptacles.
QUALIFICATIONS –
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- One-Year related experience and/or training in custodian; equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Range –
$18.00 Hourly
