OVERVIEW –
We’re seeking for a DSP-1 Direct Support Professional to join our TERI team!
The DSP-1 Direct Support Professional at our Center for the Arts program is responsible for providing direct support to our individuals with self-care, fun activities, exercise, and more.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Assist 3-4 individuals in a group setting throughout the scheduled activities.
- Make everyday fun with the individuals!
- Support individuals with activities of daily living at the appropriate level.
- Provide personal hygiene care as needed, including assistance with toileting and occasional support with feeding.
- Assure that choices are an integral part of an individual’s day.
- Deliver individual program plans/goals and behavior support plans.
- Assist with interventions designed to protect individuals who engage in severe problem behavior and those around them.
- Administer and documents client medications and provide medical/first aid treatment.
- Immediately reports any concerns related to individual personal safety.
QUALIFICATIONS –
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination in with special needs and experience working with adults in vocational or volunteer settings.
- Must be able to obtain Class B Driver’s License with 2 Years Clean Driving Record
SALARY –
$20.00 Hourly
