POSITION TITLE –
We’re seeking for a DSP-1 Integrated Employment Job Coach to join our TERI team!
The DSP-1 Integrated Employment Job Coach is responsible for training, direct support, and oversight of Interns involved in our TERI Integrated Employment Program.
This includes data collection, documentation of progress, and progress report writing. It also includes involvement in developing and maintaining business training locations and relationships that serve as a training site for Interns.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Provides direct training and support to individuals enrolled in the TERI Integrated Employment Program .
- Participates in the intake, assessment, and placement process.
- Develops individualized goals for Interns, participates as part of an individual’s IPP team.
- Develops and maintains documentation related to IPP goals, person-centered goals, attendance, session notes, and client health/safety; other documentation as assigned.
- May include transportation of Interns to/from designated work training sites.
- Communicates with Interns to understand Intern goals and ambitions.
- Assists Interns to discover and overcome their personal barriers and meet goals; provides counseling where needed.
- Assists Interns in understanding their personal strengths and how to use them effectively; includes the development and provision of any adapted methods/materials or supports.
- Learns the skills necessary for a particular job and teaches the Intern to be proficient in those skills.
- Teaches Interns the “soft” skills for employment, including social skills, interview skills, workplace behavior, and other skills as identified.
- Advises on workplace accommodation for people with disabilities.
- Provides crisis intervention and support, as needed.
- Assists in locating and securing Internship business sites within the community.
- Oversee Interns health, safety, and best interests always.
- Other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS –
- Two years of college or AA degree preferred.
- 4 years of experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Experience working with adults in vocational or volunteer settings preferred.
- Highschool diploma/ GED is desirable.
- Criminal background check required.
- Acceptable Driving History.
Salary Range –
$20.00 Hourly
