We’re seeking for a Direct Support Weekend Professional to join our TERI team!
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Residential Services is TERI’s long-term living and housing solution to enable adults with special needs to THRIVE. We need YOU to help our residents THRIVE! The dedicated direct support professionals that work in TERI homes are key members of the team here at TERI. These are the people who wake our residents up, help them get ready for their day, provide fun and meaningful program activities, assist in cooking and eating healthy meals, and tuck them in at night.
We Believe: At TERI, we believe that people with developmental disabilities deserve to lead happy and fulfilling lives. We also believe the work we do makes a difference not only for those we serve but also in our own lives. Our staff and the people we support come first!
You Believe: We are picky about who we hire. Our staff really care, show up for work with a smile on their face, treat others with respect and dignity, and value diversity. Experience is welcome, but we are willing to train. The people who work here are devoted to improving quality of life for the adults they work with.
Believe It: You can have almost any work schedule or work environment—you choose! You can combine one job with another. You will be working in people’s home giving them the support they need to have a great day, every day. This could be a home for up to 6 adults or a person who lives in their own home. All the homes are in North San Diego County.
Unbelievable: If you work in a group home where other staff are there to assist, you will earn $18 an hour. Our homes are beautiful and welcoming, not institutional. We have lots of opportunity for advancement and will help you build a career if you are interested.
