Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the functionality of our facilities and equipment. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of maintenance tasks, including advanced carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Perform routine and advanced maintenance tasks as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
- Acquire forklift certification and safely operate forklifts to assist in material handling and transportation tasks.
- Operate advanced hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform maintenance and repair activities.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces as necessary to access equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
- Acquire certification on lift platforms such as scissor lifts and snorkel lifts to facilitate work at elevated heights.
- Use measuring devices accurately to ensure precision in maintenance and repair tasks.
- Apply advanced carpentry skills to construct, repair, or install structures and fixtures as needed.
- Apply advanced plumbing skills to troubleshoot and repair complex plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Apply advanced mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills to perform maintenance and repair tasks on sophisticated equipment.
- Demonstrate basic industrial electrical skills to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform basic electrical repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand equipment layouts and specifications.
- Apply advanced rigging skills to safely move and position heavy equipment and materials.
- Perform basic pipe fitting tasks to install, repair, or modify piping systems.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Maintenance Technician I as needed.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in advanced maintenance skills such as carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work.
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical principles.
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to acquire forklift certification and operate forklifts safely.
- Proficiency in operating advanced hand and power tools safely.
- Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces as necessary.
- Willingness to acquire certification on lift platforms (scissor/snorkel lift) as required.
- Accurate use of measuring devices for precise maintenance tasks.
- Advanced carpentry skills for construction and repair work.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent.
- Forklift certification or willingness to acquire certification.
Working conditions
- Working conditions may include working outside of a climate-controlled environment for long periods of time.
- PPE is required while on production floors.
Physical requirements
Walking, sitting, standing, crouching, and lifting up to 50lbs.
