Role Overview:
The Closing Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of all closing-related tasks for business purpose loans. This includes HUD balancing, maintaining data integrity across multiple systems, preparing and thoroughly reviewing all closing documentation, and performing funding preparation functions. The Closing Specialist is responsible for conducting a meticulous quality control review prior to closing to ensure that all standards are met and guidelines are adhered to.
In this role, the Closing Specialist focuses on expediting the loan closing process, ensuring concise communication with settlement agents, and prioritizing the customer experience. Additionally, the Closing Specialist provides essential support to the Processing and Servicing teams, working collaboratively to close and service high-quality loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-closing reviews to ensure all necessary conditions are met before closing
- Perform post-close quality control to verify that all documentation is accurate and complete
- Monitor the closing process through pipeline management to ensure strict timelines are met
- Communicate effectively with settlement agents to ensure smooth and timely closings
