Job Summary:
Terpene Belt Farms is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on approach who enjoys solving problems, has a keen eye for detail, and understands (or is eager to learn) quality assurance processes. You will work closely with our operations and compliance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day activities and uphold our commitment to delivering premium hemp terpene products. Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining quality records
- Developing and implementing standards for environmental control
- Developing a workflow for product inspection
- Certificate of analysis review
- Batch documentation review and specification sheet completion
- Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes or deviations are found
- Develop SOP training in our QMS
- Maintaining vendor/supplier documentation
- Building forms in our QMS software
- Reviewing and operating within QMS to ensure quality and compliance
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g.,Botany, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality Management) is preferred
- Experience: Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control desired, preferably in manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, or hemp-related industries
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, HACCP, or GMP is a plus
- Knowledge of testing equipment and analytical methods
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience with information management systems is important
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as familiarity with technical language used in documents
