Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process samples which includes but is not limited, weighing, labeling, incubating, prepping and transferring samples as well as, instruments operation, scale preparation and calibration.
- Process Cannabis and Hemp samples
- Sample and document verification
- Clean sample receptacles
- Sample disposal (all sample types)
- Maintain the cleanliness and sterility in the production area, which includes routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment.
- Use, maintain and operate equipment in the facility.
- Ensure compliance with the state, security protocols, access protocols, and dress code.
- Lift, carry, or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Execute laboratory protocol and procedures under the supervision of a supervisor.
- Regularly display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples.
- Perform sample preparation procedures including homogenization, weighing and liquid extraction.
- Perform QC duties as assigned, including LCS and matrix spikes.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative tests, as assigned.
- Utilize the LIMS system to create batches, enter sample prep information and maintain physical and electronic records.
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Relevant experience, training or education or other related work.
- Experience with sample preparation and pre-processing.
- Operate with integrity and honesty.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Capable of frequent and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Adhere to ISO 17025 standards as well as state regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while successfully managing multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of standard laboratory protocol.

Education & Experience:
· A person who performs analytical tasks shall meet the experience and educational requirements of a testing analyst and be able to demonstrate proper performance of the analytical tasks.
· All Certified Marijuana Testing Laboratory Employees engaged in any aspect of medical marijuana handling or analysis must be 21 years of age or older.
· All Certified Marijuana Testing Laboratory Employees have passed the level 2 background screening pursuant to section 435.04, F.S., and have not been found guilty of or entered a plea of guilty or nolo contendere to regardless of adjudication, any offense listed in chapters 837. 895.or 896. F.S. or similar law of another jurisdiction.
· Have completed at least 2 years of college coursework from an accredited college or university and at least 1 year of full-time, non-education-related practical experience in a laboratory performing analytical scientific testing in which the testing methods are or were recognized by an accrediting body.
· All Certified Marijuana Testing Laboratory Analysts must be provided specific training on the minimum requirements for sampling and the Applicant's Standard Operating Procedures for sampling and security. (Provided by Company)
· 0-1 year of lab experience.
· Knowledge of principles, terminology, practices, techniques commonly used in a laboratory setting. (Preferred)
· Exposure to the cannabis industry is a plus. (Preferred)
· Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
