What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Terra Drive Systems?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming supplier products.
End of Line inspections for manufactured products.
Review machined and fabricated products produced throughout the day.
Review questionable and scrap product and assist employees with quality questions throughout the day.
Stay up to date with various standards, both customer expectations and in-house production, quality and certification requirements.
Communicate efficiently with operators, production management and other departments through various methods.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
Experience and proficiency with measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gags, go/no-go gages, and scales.
This position requires basic computer skills, general math skills and the ability to read and understand blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and statistical based language.
ISO 9001:2015 audit experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good organizational skills.
Good PC skills (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel……)
Self-starter and capable of working with little supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
GD&T print reading and comprehension
Machine or fabrication shop experience
CMM, PCMM or Laser measurement experience (programming or operation)
PPAP familiarity
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Experience Requirements:
Three years working in a manufacturing plant (Quality department is a bonus)
Physical Requirements:
Able to walk/stand for the majority of an 8 hour shift.
Able to bend and twist as required during inspections.
Able to work 40 hours.
Able to lift 40 lbs. and not lift over 40 lbs. without assistance.
