We are TERRA Engineering, Ltd.
We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to join a dynamic in-house village engineering team at major southwest suburban municipality. The role will be full time on-site reporting directly to the Village Engineer at our Client’s Village Hall.
You Will
- Prepare plans, specifications and bid documents for various infrastructure projects.
- Oversee the Villages MFT program.
- Performs construction oversight and administration. Assures conformance with plans and specifications and advises appropriate personnel of variances needing correction.
- Interact with the residents to respond to inquiries and aid in developing solutions related to their concerns.
- Maintains detailed project documentation.
- Conducts site investigations.
- Assists with conducting investigations, analyses for technical reports and grants.
- Assists with the budgetary planning process and provides technical expertise and analysis for the Capital Improvement Program.
- Assists with the management of outside regulatory agency permits and coordinates with such agencies.
- Provide technical support in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications.
- Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.
- Assist with review plans, specifications, and bid packages.
- Support projects by attending meetings and interacting with agency officials, and contractors.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by Village needs.
