Terra Green is a full-service landscape company that is driven by its mission and core values. In order to better fulfill its mission, the company is in search of a highly motivated and experienced individual interested in joining our Landscape Spray Technician Team as a Spray Technician.
This Landscape Spray Technician will be responsible for the safe application of various herbicides and fertilizers to both commercial and residential properties around the Charlotte region. Incumbent will perform such duties by utilizing spray equipment and machinery in a manner that is in agreement with safety regulations and environmental standards. This role requires a valid driver’s license, being able to lift 50 pounds, being willing to work outdoors, and a commitment to maintaining the health and beauty of outdoor spaces. A minimum of 1 year of spray application experience is required. This is a full-time year-round position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, locate, and identify weeds or invasive plants to determine and implement appropriate eradication and control measures.
- Operate light to heavy vehicles, tools and equipment in the application of various herbicides and lawn care functions
- Apply herbicides as needed in accordance with prescribed use and in accordance with accepted industry practices, and rules and requirements of various Federal, State and Local regulatory agencies (Environmental Protection Agency, Dept. of Environmental Regulation, Dept. of Agriculture).
- Prepare and mix chemical agents used in the trade
- Maintain accurate records of treatments and applications
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for both employees and clients
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients regarding treatment plans and recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned equipment and truck
- Stay updated on industry trends, weed control methods, and environmental regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.
- 1 years of spray technician and/or landscape experience
- Ability to load and unload equipment on to trucks
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Enjoy working outdoors
- Must be able to work independently to carry out assignments to completion
- Have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to read and write: ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Experience with technology such as smartphones, tablets, apps, software, etc.
- Ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

Compensation: $18.25 -$21.50 based on experience and skillset
