- Combining knowledge of design, engineering, and manufacturing processes to create functional products;
- Collecting and analyzing data; producing detailed reports for management and customers;
- Providing ongoing reviews with all involved parties – management, customer, and production;
- Evaluating and approving design changes and specifications;
- Understanding cost, maintenance, safety regulations, legal stipulations, environment, quality, and other production guidelines;
- Reviewing product design for compliance with engineering principles, company, and industry standards, customer contract requirements, safety requirements, and other related specifications;
- Effectively evaluating the final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety;
To perform this job successfully, the individual must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in engineering or related field;
- Experience with CREO or other similar 3D modeling software;
- Knowledge of drill rigs and/or off-highway construction equipment;
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and overall complex package design;
