Job Title: Seasonal Venue Assistant
Location: Terra Valley Farms, Monroe, WA
Schedule: Two shifts available Thursday-Sunday
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (DOE)
Seasonal Position: May through October
Position Overview:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Venue Assistant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring events run smoothly by assisting with setup, vendor coordination, guest support, and cleanup. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Setup & Décor:
- Set up and arrange décor, tables, chairs, and linens according to event plans and layouts.
- Ensure all elements are presented neatly and meet quality standards.
Venue Flips:
- Efficiently transition event spaces between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception within tight timelines.
- Work closely with the event team to ensure seamless room changes.
Vendor Coordination:
- Greet, direct, and assist vendors upon arrival.
- Ensure vendors adhere to the event timeline and venue policies.
Event Support:
- Assist the event coordinator and day-of coordinator with various tasks during weddings and events.
- Respond promptly to guest needs and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Monitor cleanliness and address any issues that arise during the event.
Rule Enforcement:
- Ensure guests and vendors comply with venue rules and safety guidelines.
- Address potential safety concerns and report any incidents as needed.
Cleanup:
- Break down décor, tables, and chairs after events.
- Manage rental returns and ensure the venue is left clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Previous event or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
