Position Summary
The ideal candidate will ensure all label creation, formatting, and printing are produced to specifications and on time. They will ensure the proper inventory control processes are in place to maintain accurate and precise inventory counts. A successful Label Technician will be able to elevate company standards, minimize error margins, achieve goals, provide excellent suggestions and guidance, and exceed the manager’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- test results with high accuracy into labeling software to uphold compliance and company specific formatting standards.
- Coordinate with Managers to set printing schedules, prioritize projects, deadlines and rework. Complete all label manufacturing assignments delegated by the Operations Director and production leadership staff.
- Audit and record all label inventory use, waste, and faulty materials in a timely manner to reflect accurate inventory counts.
- Navigate METRC, Distru, Zdesign, and any secondary or third-party software program to satisfy all label manufacturing needs with little to no supervision.
- Monitor, clean, and maintain all printing equipment to ensure the quality and longevity of use.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle changes in direction or strategy to address interruptions, stoppage, and tasks that create reprioritization and thus require reworking the printing schedule.
- Properly create, update and maintain digital recording practices to ensure accurate historical data and accessibility to files.
- Facilitate, organize, schedule, and track batches for testing by utilizing testing software platforms, email, METRC, and Distru.
- Act as a resource to other departments by providing timely requests for documents, labels, or information concerning production items as they occur without prior notice.
- Maintain skills and knowledge as well as continued professional development within the programs used in this position which include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Zdesign, Distru, METRC, Teams, and Outlook.
- A strong understanding of necessary math concepts.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Detailed oriented.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
- Ability to utilize computer software and printing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct program and printer errors.
- Ability to navigate and understand testing information and state regulations as they pertain to label creation, formatting and application.
- Preferably experience with Industrial Printers, specifically Zebra ZT4000 series, and direct thermal transfer systems.
- Desire to continuously learn (more) about cannabis, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, and cannabis therapies previous knowledge a HUGE plus!
- Ability to listen well and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various audiences.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email.
