Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a vibrant atmosphere. This role requires effective management of staff, resources, and customer relations in a fast-paced environment.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must efficiently manage all Terrace 167 staff, assist owners in managing daily operations of the facility, oversee job functions for successful event completion, conduct tours with potential clients, handle new client bookings, handle customer conflict resolution in a confident and professional manner, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly and maintain an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction. This person will assist owner in conducting all final meetings with clients in order to successfully execute scheduled events as well as assist with events from start to finish. He/She must maintain a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training, and development for optimal employee performance. He/She will be responsible for theft monitoring and cash drawers. Responsible for answering of office phone during office hours and as needed during event days. Responsible for assisting with and implementing employee schedules. Responsible for working with Venue Assistant to develop and implement successful marketing plans. He/She will assist any and all departments as needed and perform all other related duties as assigned.
Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of staff members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
- Manage cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and accountability in financial reporting.
- Oversee guest services to guarantee an outstanding experience for all patrons, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours, optimizing operational efficiency.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to safety, security, and customer service standards.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and enhance the venue's visibility within the community.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality or wedding industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Experience in cash handling processes and financial management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by venue operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of venue operations is a plus but not mandatory.
