What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Geologist position at Terracon?
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced environmental engineer, geologist, or scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience performing and / or managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments as part of due diligence services and / or Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's (LDEQ) Risk Evaluation / Corrective Action Program (RECAP).
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct and manage Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards and client-specific requirements.
- Perform and oversee Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, and analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for Phase I and Phase II ESAs.
- Ensure compliance with LDEQ's RECAP guidelines and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project completion.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
- Assist in the development of project proposals and cost estimates.
