Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of geotechnical engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of geotechnical investigations, including soil boring, foundation design, and site assessments.
- Daily monitor of the team members' attendance, and time sheets, including weekly approval.
- Ensure all geotechnical reports, analyses, and designs are accurate, meet industry standards, and are delivered on time.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, including cost estimates and resource allocation.
- Communicate with clients daily and address any issues promptly.
- Monitor and review project progress, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Review and approve technical reports, designs, and recommendations for projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding geotechnical investigations and reporting.
- Oversee training and development for staff to improve skills and expertise within the department.
- Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in geotechnical engineering to keep the department competitive.
- Visit job sites and attend meetings.
- Market to obtain new clients.
- Maintain communication with existing clients to ensure their satisfaction.
- Provide and ensure team members are using the needed PPE effectively.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision

- Promoting a safe work environment and maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Great attention to detail is required
- Reporting any issues to the manager

Job Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, foundation design, and soil mechanics.
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, PLAXIS, GeoStudio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to lead and supervise others.
- Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the team members, management, and clients.
- Experience leading projects successfully.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills such as Word and Excel.
- Clean MVR, background, and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license.
- Tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager
