Job Description:
This position will provide support to the Overtime Management Group in Production Control and be responsible for the accurate and detailed task of acquiring management approval for overtime worked by Union Employees assigned to the Tank Operations Contractor (TOC). The task support includes the following:
- Utilize the Overtime Authorization Tracking System (OATS) to compliantly contact craft employees to fill the requested resources for the overtime by securing the employee to the overtime work activity or document the turn down of overtime offered.
- Ensure that the overtime process is administered in accordance with TOC procedures, policies, and requirements and by following the Hanford Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) Labor Agreement.
- Maintaining and fulfilling a rotating schedule for on-call response to afterhours overtime requests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and 10 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of commonly used computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong ability to solve mathematical equations related to adding and subtracting overtime hours throughout the shift for various work groups in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Strong understanding of the Overtime Authorization Tracking System (OATS).
- Strong understanding of the CBA as it pertains to the Overtime Procedure, appendices and agreements.
- Knowledge of Hanford Site Worker Eligibility Tool (HSWET); Time Information System (TIS); and Employee Time Verification System (ETVS).
- Self-motivation, confident decision-making abilities, and the ability to follow procedures and policies governing overtime at the TOC.
- Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task.
