Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Environmental Test Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing & Test, the Environmental Test Technician will be responsible for environmental test processes for a wide range of components/modules, as well as spacecraft level vibration and thermal vacuum testing. This role will assist with the installation of equipment, operation and maintenance of vibrations tables, vacuum chambers, and other test equipment, process documentation and controls, and performing testing and certification of the test equipment. Additionally, this role will support spacecraft build and testing as time allows between environmental test scheduling.
This role is on our 1st shift (Monday-Friday) from 6:00AM - 2:30PM.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Assemble, instrument, and test satellite flight hardware throughout development and Production
- Monitor and assess test equipment and test hardware performance throughout production and qualification campaigns
- Activate, evaluate, monitor, and maintain space simulation test equipment (Thermal, Thermal Vacuum, HASS / HALT, Vibration, Shock)
- Assembly, activation, and troubleshooting of custom test racks and automated equipment that interfaces with Flight Hardware.
- Work with engineering and facilities to plan, build, and activate test equipment
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and harnessing, including pressure transducers, flowmeters, temperature sensors, accelerometers, and strain gauges
- Performs functions that include test troubleshooting, basic equipment maintenance, coordination with test engineers, and engagement with management on daily test activities
- Clean machines, equipment, and work areas according to site standard practices and management guidance
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in EnvironmentalTesting (Thermal, Vibrational, Vacuum, HAAS/HALT, Shock)
- Extensive experience with Vibration tables and Thermal vacuum chambers.
- Knowledge/experience in manufacturing and test processes and procedures
- Strong ability to comprehend technical work instructions
- Experience with drawings, shop orders, and detailed work instructions
- Strong understanding with test electronic, hydrostatic, and pneumatic test equipment
- Proficient with various types of gages, instruments and measuring devices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Overhead crane and rigging experience
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Non-conformance systems, Ticketed request systems and order scheduling systems
- Experience using and maintaining calibrated equipment
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
