Job Summary :
As a Peer Mentor, your primary responsibility will be to provide support and mentorship to a 26-year-old male on the autistic spectrum who has transitioned into his own apartment for the first time. Your role is essential in helping him increase his independence and engagement in community activities. You will be assisting with community activities, apartment chores, and activities of daily living (ADL). Additionally, you will explore new preferred activities and potential employment opportunities, promoting a fulfilling and inclusive lifestyle.
Available Shifts : - Saturdays 9am to 9 pm
The starting salary for this position ranges from $25 to $28 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
Plus mileage reimbursement.
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following qualifications :
MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING : Possession of a Bachelor's degree in human services, NADD certification, or RBT, CNA certification. This is a requirement, no exceptions.
Minimum of two years of experience working with autistic individuals, demonstrating a solid understanding of their needs and challenges.Proficiency in implementing behavior support plans and taking data to monitor progress.
