Shift Leader

Terrapin Station, a new full-service concept restaurant, is looking to build its team. If you are energetic, friendly, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, we are looking for you! We are currently looking for Shift Leaders.

We're hiring Shift Leaders to join our team!

Our Shift Leaders are expected to maintain accountability for the efficient and profitable operation of their location. They oversee daily operations during designated shifts, supervise employees, and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service. The shift leader's responsibilities include dealing with no-shows, delegating tasks, handling cash-ups, and reporting any issues to the manager. Ultimately, a top shift leader should be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities

• Open and close registers for staff members, count register drawers and resolve cash overages and shortages.
• Ensure the shift is adequately staffed.
• Develop and assign tasks to staff members, and oversee completion of tasks.
• Resolve customer issues and approve exceptions to policy for coupons, returns, etc.
• Train new hires and create development opportunities for experienced staff members.
• Provide recognition and constructive feedback throughout the shift as appropriate.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
• Meets the needs of the operation by assisting in any area requested by the management

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospitality or guest service environment.
• Previous experience in the management of an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.
• Team player.
• Flexibility to work including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and continuously bend, reach, and twist; your
