What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Designer/Account Manager position at TerraScapes, L.L.C.?
This is a combination position that merges both Landscape Design and Account Managing into one position to serve the needs of both our current clients and new clients with any landscape enhancements they might have while also making sure they are happy with all services we provide
Duties:
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand sometimes including weekend, holiday and hours the business is closed.
- Manage and schedule landscape installation crew’s daily work.
- Produce landscape designs for both new and current residential and commercial clients.
- Oversee and/or help crew with installation of job to help control timelines and oversee quality of work.
- Meet with clients monthly to discuss their needs and in a proactive approach satisfy clients’ needs with services we offer such as irrigation, insect, turf/shrub/tree disease, landscaping, drainage, or other services offered by TerraScapes.
- Complete and send out estimates for new work and upselling within a reasonable timeframe (usually within 48 hours)
- Visit completed jobs monthly through warranty period to ensure plant material and hardscapes are still in good shape.
- Assist with commercial landscape bid proposals.
- In certain instances, represent company at pre or ongoing construction meetings with GC or owner.
- Assist with the purchase of plant materials both locally and out of state for current jobs and for inventory.
- Oversee nursery stock to make sure it is weed free and healthy.
- Assist with Christmas light estimating and scheduling.
- Assists in development of long and short-term goals, employee development, budget, and purchasing.
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with marketing strategies to continuously grow company
Other Duties:
- Assist in getting all staff in and out on a daily basis.
- Assist with holding crews accountable for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Participates in snow removal processes. May require evening, nighttime or holiday work in poor weather conditions.
Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by President

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of commercial landscape installation experience (preferred)
- 3-5 years of commercial landscape and irrigation estimating and bidding (preferred)
- Understanding of multiple resources to find and bid on commercial jobs
- Understanding of specifications written out by Architects within bid scopes
- Willingness to be a team player not only within TerraScapes but with all Contractors on and off of job sites.
