What You Will Do
As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining roadways, drive lanes, parking lots, etc. of customer accounts after a snowstorm. You will also be responsible for:
- Familiarizing yourself with snow removal equipment
- Using all snow removal equipment appropriately and effectively
- Loading and operating a salt spreader
- Dropping salt on roadways to prevent ice buildup and ensure safety
- Keeping accurate records of snow depth, work times, etc.
- Working in conjunction with snow crews to ensure that all jobs are completed and meet company standards
- Working long hours during the night and into the next day to complete assigned routes
- Remaining available and on call to receive specific instructions related to start time and job route
Requirements
Snow removal experience is preferred, but not required. All applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record with the ability to be added to the company’s insurance policy. Applicants should also be able to maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work whenever it snows. Our ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications/traits:
- Experience operating various types of equipment (Skidsteer, Wheel Loader, Bobcat Toolcat, etc.)
- Excellent time management
