Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction and electrical infrastructure projects working directly with electric utilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles, electrical systems, and project management with proven experience interacting with and coordinating with electric utility companies. This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while effectively navigating the complexities of utility coordination.
Responsibilities:
Project/Construction Management:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines, incorporating utility coordination milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, including those related to utility interfaces.
- Implement effective mitigation strategies to address any challenges, particularly those involving utility companies.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, in coordination with utility requirements.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and utility crews to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and inspection reports, with detailed records of utility interactions.
- Prepare progress reports and project status updates for management and clients, including information on utility coordination progress
- Experience working with electric utilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in construction or electrical infrastructure projects, with demonstrable experience working directly with electric utility companies.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Monday.com, ClickUp, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional engineering license (PE).
- Experience with Transmission, Distribution, and Generation
Salary : $110,000 - $135,000
