At TARC, our Transportation team helps lead our nationally recognized agency by providing a critical service to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Without our transportation drivers, the individuals we serve would have difficulty in finding transportation to work, day activities, and excelling in their daily lives. As a Driver for TARC, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drives 15 passenger or less vehicles to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule by performing assigned duties.
- Maintains a current 6-year Chauffeur license.
- Maintains a current 2 year physical.
- Load non-ambulatory passengers with lift and strap wheelchair/occupant to the floor using the 4-pt. tie down system.
- Drives and participates in participant field trips.
- Preforms monthly vehicle inspections.
- Complies with local and state traffic regulations.
- Reports repairs, delays or accidents.
- Must complete all trainings, driver logs, DOTD and EVV paperwork in a timely manner.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 29 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
