Our Personal Care Attendants have a reputation for providing quality care to individuals needing extra assistance in their personal life such as helping and teaching people with intellectual and developmental disabilities prepare meals, shop for groceries, light housekeeping, laundry, and extracurricular activities that the individual may have.
Other responsibilities may include:
- Relating to each client with dignity and respect while enabling them to enjoy a higher quality of life.
- Maintaining accurate daily records of client services and personal timesheets.
- Communicating to supervisor’s specific needs and/or changes in clients' condition.
- Assistingwith personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
Performing or assisting in the performance of tasks related to maintaining a safe, healthy, and stable living environment such as:
- Light cleaning tasks in areas of the home used by the client.
- Shopping for such items as health and hygienic products, clothing, and groceries.
- Performing activities of daily living inside and outside the home which require attendant care.
- Assisting with or performing laundry chores for the client.
- Assisting the client in transfer and/or ambulation in those activities which are necessary to live independently.
- Assisting with bladder and/or bowel requirements or problems, including help with bed pan routines.
- Assisting in the storage of foods and the preparation and eating of meals, including any special diets.
- Assisting with transportation needs, including accompanying clients to clinics, physician's offices, and appointments as needed.
- Administering medication to clients in the SIL program, as prescribed by a physician.
- Assuming other duties or activities as needed or directed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
