So, what will the Personnel Recovery (PR) Communications Coordinator at Terrestris do?

The Personnel Recovery (PR) Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the security and PR communications equipment required to administer PREEMPT, security, and PRO training programs and courses, in support of the PR Program Coordinator and the PR Operations & Equipment Coordinator.

What does a typical day look like for a Personnel Recovery (PR) Communications Coordinator?

A Personnel Recovery (PR) Communications Coordinator's day is dynamic. The role involves implementing a comprehensive Public Relations (PR) program, security measures, and equipment management in collaboration with the PR Program Coordinator and PR Operations & Equipment Coordinator. Key duties include managing PR and emergency communications, tracking personnel systems, overseeing equipment inventory, and providing communications-focused PRO training. The individual will monitor personnel tracking systems like DOS Personnel Tracker Locators and the SCRY application, ensure compliance with USAID Mission assessments, and act as a point of contact for USAID Mission PROs. Responsibilities also include coordinating equipment maintenance and procurement, overseeing setup and operational procedures, and managing quarterly reports. Additionally, the role involves providing training, preparing reports on PR and security inventory, resolving technical issues, and delivering equipment to global locations.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the person we’re looking for if you have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications and logistics management, including ordering and maintaining communications equipment and supplies.

• Logistics, equipment, and communications experience in a government or civilian capacity.

• Must have demonstrated experience with procurement and supply chain procedures.

• Experience in developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and equipment inventories.

• Proficiency in Microsoft or Google operating systems, to include Word or Documents, Excel or Sheets, Notes, Mail, Calendars, and shared drives.

• Ability to executive administrative tasks with attention to detail.

• Proficient and experienced in IT hardware, database system development, and software.

• Proficient in programming and troubleshooting two-way and one-way technical communication equipment, including satellite and cellular-based systems. (PRO trainers)

• Ability to develop, design, and implement program metrics relevant to technical equipment use and training.

• Experience conducting practical training applications for equipment use.

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.

• Must have and maintain a valid U.S Passport.

• Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to physically stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and the ability to climb ladders with dexterity in both hands.

• Must be able to lift a 50-pound item to waist height and must be able to lift a 30-pound item over the head.

• Must have 20/20 vision with corrective lenses if necessary.

• Must have acceptable color vision and have acceptable depth perception.

• Must be physically able to travel to and operate in potentially dangerous, overseas environments.

• Must be physically able to walk distances up to three miles in a variety of adverse environments while carrying a 30-pound backpack.

• Must have the ability to hear normal conversation, alarm, and warning signals with corrective devices if necessary.
