The ID Card Services Support plays a crucial role in the management and operation of the identification card section at the Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ). This office serves as a critical resource for personnel across all service components, handling a high volume of updates to the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and issuing ID cards to military personnel, dependents, and eligible members across the state of Georgia. The position requires thorough knowledge of federal regulations and policies governing DEERS, RAPIDS, and ID card issuance, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, timeliness, and security.
What does a typical day look like for a ID Card Services Support?
The ID Card Services Support's day is dynamic. The role involves managing ID card and CAC issuance requests, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with DEERS and RAPIDS policies. The specialist supervises a small team, handles customer inquiries, and conducts inventory checks for CAC-related supplies. They also monitor RAPIDS system audit trails, resolve data discrepancies, and generate weekly reports. Throughout the day, the specialist performs routine maintenance on RAPIDS workstations and printers, addresses security incidents, and ensures all tasks are completed within established deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and security standards.
