Optical Glasses Dispener

Job responsibilities will include sales and helping patients with frame and lens selection based on glasses prescription written by optometrist; suggesting lens upgrades based on patient lifestyle; glasses adjustments; minor repairs - dealing with small screws and small glasses parts; ordering prescription glasses with lab; ordering frames from manufacturer; vision insurance knowledge - ability to understand and explain patient's insurance benefits such as exam copays, frame allowance, lens upgrade copays, contact lens fitting fees, etc; answering phones; scheduling patients; dispensing glasses or contact lens orders; train patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses for first time contact lens wearers; notifying patients their glasses are ready for pick up; keeping optical area and work space tidy; collecting payment; scanning optical lab invoices; refill frame boards with under stock frames and other optical duties.

Need good computer skills for use with electronic medical records in optometry office setting - RevolutionEHR. Optometry office setting experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Need someone dependable with reliable transportation.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
