We are seeking a Honest, Compassionate and Dedicated individual to take care of Adults with Disabilities in Pensacola. Ideal candidate is someone with 2 years caregiver experience, a good attitude, and an easy-going nature.
Room and Board and meals are included in the pay. Schedules, and pay will be discussed in more detail with candidates at the time of the interview.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 per year.
Live in full time of the week with one weekend off per month.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs personal care activities and training that assist the client with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
- Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
- Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments and emergency room visit
- Eating
- Dressing/Bathing
- Performs client-specific tasks. These could include (but are not limited to): Medication Administration, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, preparing special diets, Dementia care, Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
- Ability to read, write, speak, teach, and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass a level two background check
