What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rent Ready Supervisor/estimator position at Terrier Properties?
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Make Ready Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of home and apartment turnovers and be able to perform a variety of different maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- You are the last person to leave our turnovers, and your work is the face of the company as prospective residents view each property. Attention to detail is a must.
- You must be able to take a job from start to finish with limited oversight.
- Keeping your work areas clean at all times and being prepared for leasing showings at any given time.
- Drywall, spackle, paint, light repairs, faucets, outlets, trim work, ceiling tiles, light fixtures, etc. are all part of your duties.
- Paperwork. You are responsible for keeping track of your time and materials used. We meet at the office every morning and then head out to our jobs. Receipts and invoices must be saved and turned in every week. We pay weekly, every Friday, after paperwork is turned in and processed.
- Completing work in a timely manner. Each job is estimated to take a certain amount of time, and we expect you to meet or exceed the expectation. We understand things happen outside of the normal scope sometimes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home maintenance or apartment make ready positions.
- You have reliable transportation to go from job to job as needed. All of our properties are within a 5-mile radius, with most of them being in close proximity to the Old Northeast area in St. Petersburg.
- You have all of your own hand tools to complete relevant scopes within your title. This will include basic tools such as a drill, screwdriver, hammer, spackle knives, utility knives, wrenches, painting tools, etc. We will support you with all blades, naps, bits, etc.
- Background checks are a must as someone who will work in occupied buildings with our residents.
- Self driven to tackle scopes independently with direction from your Make Ready Lead.
- On call for one week, once a month for plumbing, electrical, and other resident emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
