GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for corporate payroll & time clock reporting systems. Reconciliation of payroll related General Ledger accounts. Assists the Chief Financial Officer in the recordkeeping functions for the corporate pension plan, produces accounting reports and statistical information as needed by the corporation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of professional accounting and auditing principles, techniques and practices as evidenced by a formal bookkeeping course or work experience.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and State wage and hour laws.
- Experience working with electronic payroll and general ledger systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent with 10-key calculator.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Detail focused.
- High level of integrity.
- Flexible work schedule in order to meet payroll timelines.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of training or experience that demonstrates competence in the above areas.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or bachelor's level accounting degree.
- 3-5 years' experience administering a comprehensive payroll program
- Non-profit accounting background.
- Health industry background.
