Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to determine their landscaping needs and preferences.
- Create detailed landscape designs using software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, and ArcGIS.
- Develop planting plans that incorporate a variety of plants, trees, and hardscape features.
- Prepare construction documents and specifications for landscape projects.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and determine project feasibility.
- Oversee the installation of landscape designs, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to plans.
- Provide guidance on irrigation systems to optimize water usage for gardens and landscapes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance design offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Sketchup, ArcGIS, or similar CAD programs.
- Experience with hardscape design elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Strong knowledge of plant species suitable for various climates and soil types.
- Ability to create detailed construction documents and specifications.
- Familiarity with civil engineering principles as they relate to landscape design is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and contractors.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
