Summary :
We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Lead who is passionate about driving quality and compliance. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS). You will manage supplier quality, product inspections, compliance, and process improvements, ensuring our manufacturing operations uphold the highest standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership, you will foster a culture of quality excellence.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Quality Management & Compliance
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001.
- Ensure compliance with material test reports (MTRs), certificates of conformance (COCs), and all customer-required documentation.
- Oversee instrument testing and calibration programs to maintain accuracy.
Supplier & Material Quality
Lead the Supplier Management Program to guarantee supplier quality compliance.Collaborate with purchasing to qualify and manage suppliers while swiftly resolving quality issues.Oversee incoming material inspections and manage outside processing (OP) inspections for quality assurance.Production Quality & Process Control
Support production teams with quality assurance and implement process improvements.Conduct in-process inspections, including dimensional verification, weld inspections, and coating inspections.Perform or supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) as needed.Manage product testing, audits, and approval processes for product releases.Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Develop and lead the Quality Assurance team, cultivating a high-performance environment.Facilitate training and certification for QA personnel and facility welders.Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in quality and process optimization.Qualifications :
B.S. in Engineering or a relevant technical degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing / metal fabrication.Hands-on experience with quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.Comprehensive knowledge of welding processes, coatings, and fabrication standards.Technical Skills & Certifications (Preferred)
CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) - AWS / ASME.CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) - ASQ or equivalent.Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification.Familiarity with ASTM, AWWA, and AWS / ASME welding codes.Experience with liquid and powder coatings.Soft Skills
