Key Responsibilities:
- As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a project from contract award to completion. You’ll be the main interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring that deliverables meet expectations. Your responsibilities will include: Acting as the primary customer and internal point of contact for projects.
- Directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to meet project goals.
- Managing all commercial and administrative requirements during project execution.
- Monitoring and controlling project schedules, budgets, and variances.
- Reviewing, understanding, and interpreting customer specifications and contract requirements.
- Monitoring and controlling project scope, drafting and issuing change orders.
- Leading in-house Design, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation phases.
- Preparing and presenting project status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Providing technical guidance and resolving project challenges.
- Managing material procurement, requisitions, and vendor progress.
- Executing customer invoices and following up on overdue payments.
- Adhering to company processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university is preferred, however we will consider relevant work experience as well.
- 8 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex, high-impact projects involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
- Experience in project financial management, including forecasting, cost accruals, and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor relations and management.
- Leadership and team-building experience with excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with Industry Standard Codes (ASME, B31, ASTM, AWS, OSHA) or international equivalents is a plus.
- PMI or PMP certification is highly desirable, but not required.
- Travel is minimal (up to 10%)
Other Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, QuickBase, and experience with JD Edwards is a bonus.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members toward their professional goals.
