Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Travel: Up to 50%
Overview:
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality activities, including supplier qualification, development, and management, as well as product quality support. This role involves conducting on-site audits, product inspections, and driving improvements in supplier production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier qualification and development in collaboration with sourcing and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and validate supplier products and processes to ensure quality compliance.
- Develop and monitor supplier control plans and quality metrics.
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements for supplier-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis, capability studies, PFMEA, gage R&Rs, create control plans, etc.
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers on product specifications and quality expectations.
- Identify and implement opportunities for supplier development, leveraging technology and improving inspection processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3 years in Quality Engineering for Manufacturing.
- 1 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer
- Experienced with root cause analysis, capability studies, gage R&R, supplier correction reports, controls plans, PFMEA's, etc...
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time - typically a couple days a week, and not every week, but the person needs to be able and willing to travel.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
