Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing suppliers, lead times, and inventory levels to ensure a steady flow of parts, components and materials for production.
This role will analyze sales forecasts, coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, negotiate pricing, and manage backup suppliers as needed.
The Supply Chain Manager will work within Infor ERP to track inventory, set reorder points, and optimize stock levels. Additionally, they will oversee a Purchasing & Inventory Planning Specialist and ensure timely procurement and supplier compliance manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, lead times, and cost targets are met.
- Analyze sales forecasts to anticipate material needs and adjust orders and timing of orders accordingly.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to drive cost savings.
- Identify and establish backup suppliers to mitigate supply risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Work within Infor ERP to track inventory, manage reorder points, and optimize stock levels.
- Determine inventory strategies, deciding which parts to keep in stock and at what levels.
- Oversee purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely supplier confirmations.
- Track and manage critical components such as automation parts, motors, compressors, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
- Ensure materials are available for assembly in line with production schedules.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve delays.
- Address supply chain disruptions quickly to prevent production slowdowns.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and sales teams to align supply chain operations with business goals.
- Supervise the Purchasing & Inventory Planning Specialist to ensure purchasing and inventory tasks are completed accurately.
- Provide guidance and support to improve supply chain processes.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and cost control.
Requirements:
- 5 years in a similar role within manufacturing or equipment-related industries.
- Strong background in supplier management, price negotiation, and vendor sourcing.
- Proven ability to manage inventory levels and establish effective reorder strategies.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills to ensure supplier accountability.
- Ability to analyze forecasts and procurement data to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Supervisory experience overseeing purchasing or inventory personnel.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience sourcing automation components, motors, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other key manufacturing parts.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization.
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
