Reference Code : 049250 Position Overview : Network Application Engineer will work with AudioVideo streaming networks to meet the strategic objectives of our customers. This position will focus primarily on multi-vendor networks, as well as AV Streaming and Control products that leverage network technology. Network Applications Engineers interface with customers through phone and e-mail correspondence to provide support for our products and services, and to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Responsibilities :
- Serve as an escalation point for general network and network enabled product support.
- Review system requirements to ensure understanding, accuracy, completeness, and feasibility.
- Participate in formal design and implementation activities ensuring performance and adherence to standards and best practices.
- Work across multiple teams to test and troubleshoot issues, validate new products and technologies and provide solutions, designs, recommendations and supporting documentation.
- Work with multiple network vendors and network technologies to provide solutions that meet our customers requirements.
- Create appropriate technical documentation for the task assigned.Required Experience :
- BS degree in EE, CE, IT or ET. Or 3 years experience in the audio visual, IT or Network Engineering industry.
- Solid foundation in general network engineering including physical and logical network topologies, L2, L3, routing protocols.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and in a timely manner.Desired Skills :
- Experience working with multiple vendors and multi-vendor network environments.
- Multicast and Multicast Routing.
- Software Defined Networking.
- Implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting streaming media systems.
- Streaming media protocols (RTP / RTSP / RTCP, HTTP, RTMP. IGMP).
- Experience with systems that make extensive use of UDP traffic including streaming media protocols, i.e. RTP / RTSP / RTCP, HTTP 1.0 / 1.1, RTMP, SIP.
