About the Role:
The Plant Controller will assist and advise the Plant Manager and leadership team on all financial matters pertaining to the facility. This role is responsible for coordinating the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, supporting the preparation of financial statements, monitoring, analyzing and presenting results and actions to achieve objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
- Support the preparation of accurate and timely reporting of financial statements, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Analyze results to budget and forecast, partnering with plant leadership to explain results, trends and identify actions and recommendations to senior management
- Conduct financial analyses for make versus buy decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally and assist with the development and review of standard cost calculations and analysis
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Support and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Lead and manage the financial department staff
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Proven experience preparing budgets and financial forecasts. Proficiency in Excel required and ERP (SAP knowledge advantageous)
