Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As an essential member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring our equipment and facilities run smoothly. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing production efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; secondary education in trade school preferred
- 5-10 years' experience in an industrial maintenance position
- Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- A strong background of machine repair, machining, and welding
- Experience with electrical component safety and troubleshooting
- Experience working with drives, motors, heating systems, and automated equipment
- Troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley PLC software (Logix 5000)
What You'll Do:
- Respond to machine breakdowns to reduce technical downtime using mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting skills
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Complete work order requests for improvements and non-breakdown repairs
- Work with the production, engineering, and quality teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the plant
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic devices and pumps
- Obtain parts and services from vendors by completing purchase requisitions and obtaining quotes
- Operate tool room equipment to produce or repair machine parts
- Other duties as assigned
