What you will do:
Process Development and Engineering
- Influence the product and technology development in the areas relevant to plant Sparta. Pursue goals for the improvement of products and processes with regard to safety, quality, and productivity and is responsible for the optimization of existing production processes as well as for the introduction of new technologies and products.
- Strive to achieve technology and cost leadership in the production of adhesive tapes.
- Delegate roles and responsibilities of EMS but is ultimately accountable for compliance.
- Evaluate complex data and draw conclusions.
- Well-developed project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Prioritizes work based on short- and long-term objectives, self-organized.
- The job holder represents the function of Process Development within the plant management team.
- Identify, defines, aligns and supports measures and projects to develop the organization and gain profitable targets.
- Act as project member or project leader for special tasks or in the function of process or product engineer.
- Creates a performance-enhancing deployment of the employees and monitors alignment with the targets through regular discussions.
- Engage in the selection and development of direct employees, works with Human Resources for training measures, training programs and monitors internal and external compliance requirements.
- Responsible for the performance assessment of their employees and works with HR on appropriate compensation.
- Create the annual budget, staffing plans and overhauls the organization of their team.
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5- 10 years of process engineering with leadership experience.
- Distinctive process engineering knowledge in the areas of mass production, coating and packaging desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Teams and Powerpoint
- Must be available and able to travel domestically; international travel may be required occasionally.
- ISO/TS 16949 and/or IATF knowledge (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience with design of experiment methods, FMEA and SPC
