We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance professional to join our team at TESCO, Inc. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance practices. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and repair requirements.
- Supervise maintenance staff as needed to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Respond promptly to service requests from staff or management regarding facility issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and ensuring a safe environment.
- Fix and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
- Paint, repair flooring, and work on plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning and heating systems.
- Assist in emergency situations as needed to support necessary tasks.
- Willing to be trained and operate a Boom lift at heights up to 30 feet.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or general maintenance roles.
- Strong electrical skills with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and logic controllers effectively.
- Good supervisory skills with experience leading small teams is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of customer service principles in a facilities context.
- Proficient in English for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to wear required uniform, including safety-toed/slip-resistant shoes.
