Tesco Staffing in Bangor, ME is looking for one Environmental Services Technician II (EVS Tech II) to join strong team.
The EVS Technician II plays a vital role in promoting a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors within our facility. This position is responsible for the specialized cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas, adhering to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of pathogens. The EVS Tech II also contributes to a positive patient experience by ensuring clean and orderly rooms and public spaces.
Available shift-3pm to 11:30pm (5 days/week)
Pay- $16.50-$18/hour.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining a Clean and Sanitary Environment:
o Perform daily cleaning of floors in hallways and other assigned areas, including using a mechanical floor scrubber.
o Utilize cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools effectively for various tasks.
o Extract carpets and perform project cleaning.
2. Safe Waste Management:
o Safely transport hazardous, solid, and recyclable waste from designated areas to designated disposal locations.
3. Additional Responsibilities:
o Assist with tasks like relocating equipment, cleaning stretchers, and maintaining work areas.
o Respond to emergency cleaning requests.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Qualifications:
o Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
o Must be able to read and understand signs, warning notices and work instructions as well as complete necessary work forms.
o Years of relevant floor care experience: 1 – 2 years is preferred.
o Respond to emergency cleaning requests.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
