Tray Line Expediter

TESCO Staffing in Newburyport, MA is looking for one tray line expediter to join our team. We are located in Newburyport, MA Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.

Shift: 6:30am to 9am

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities-

Receives the hot or cold entrée/side items from Cook team member and matches it to the correct Expeditor ticket

Keeps the work flow of the tray assembly area moving in an even, continuous pattern, sending meal orders down the tray line in the appropriate sequence

Adds menu items to the tray, as assigned

Maintains quality assurance and accuracy on all patient food trays, standardizing the location of all items placed on tray.

Consistently monitors the Hot Food production in order to keep the hot food flow consistent

Coordinates the work flow with the Cooks and the Tray Assembly area by continuous awareness and communication.

Informs the Supervisor of any special situations that a diet order requires

Maintains a clean and efficient workstation

Rejects any unacceptable food items and requests replacement item

Replenishes supplies on tray line

Follows proper food handling techniques according to DPH, TJC and local agencies

Ensures the integrity of stored food items on the tray line

Participates in the Quality Assurance process

Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Room Service goals for the assembly area

Performs other duties as requested

Room Service Checker

Coordinates the assembly of patient meals during the tray line process

Checks all meals for accuracy, adherence to quality assurance minimums and goals

Adds final items to meal tray

Ensures the timely dispatch of food carts to the nursing units

Checks all food items for acceptability and appropriateness of diet

Rejects any unacceptable food items and requests replacement item

Replenishes supplies on tray line

Maintains a clean and efficient workstation

Follows proper food handling techniques according to DPH, TJC and local agencies

Ensures the integrity of stored food items on the tray line

Directs staff to change assignments as needed to ensure patient satisfaction

Participates in the Quality Assurance process

Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Room Service goals for the assembly area

• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

*High school or vocational school graduate preferred, some college preferred. *3-5 years of food service experience preferred. *Knowledge of food service kitchens, including standards of safety and cleanliness. *Demonstrates strong communication skills, including the ability to read and understand English. Must be able to comprehend and take appropriate action quickly. Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form with clarity and professionalism. *Ability to work independently, completing assigned tasks safely and correctly, demonstrating good time management skills. *Ability to follow through on instructions *Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ensuring all actions reflect program's service goals. Must be able to take initiative and ownership of concerns, following up appropriately. *Ability to demonstrate commitment to team members and patients through flexibility and strong work ethic. *Must demonstrate computer literacy, including speed and accuracy and the ability to learn and use new computerized systems. *Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task effectively, completing all tasks accurately and while maintaining customer service standards. *Neat, professional appearance

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Thursdays and Fridays. Compensation is $19.50 - $20.00/hour.
