Job Overview:
TESCO is looking for a full-time Warehouse and Dock Manager responsible for overseeing warehouse operations and dock activities to ensure efficient receiving, storage, and shipping of materials. Duties include managing warehouse inventory, supervising dock operations, scheduling shipments, coordinating with production and logistics teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Warehouse and Dock Manager will work closely with shipping, receiving, and production teams to optimize workflow, maintain accurate inventory records, and address any issues related to inventory handling or shipments.
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods
· Manage dock operations to ensure efficient loading and unloading shipments
· Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system, including conducting periodic cycle counts and utilizing inventory control methods to prevent discrepancies
· Coordinate logistics and scheduling for inbound and outbound shipments to optimize efficiency
· Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for warehouse and dock operations
· Supervise warehouse and dock staff, providing training and support to maintain productivity and accuracy
· Monitor equipment and facility conditions, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed
· Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to streamline material flow and minimize delays
· Address and resolve any issues related to inventory handling, shipping, or receiving discrepancies
· Implement and maintain best practices for warehouse organization, material handling, and workflow efficiency
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
· 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
· Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment required.
· Experience managing warehouse staff, overseeing shipping/receiving processes, and optimizing warehouse workflows.
· Strong knowledge of ERP systems, inventory control methods, and warehouse safety regulations.
· Experience working with freight carriers, scheduling shipments, and coordinating logistics.
