Tesla is recruiting highly motivated Automation Controls Technicians to support the installation, start-up, ramp, and continuous support of highly automated manufacturing tools / equipment with the 4680 Battery Cell Team.You will work with the highest caliber engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Automation Controls Technicians are the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production running.
Responsibilities
- Maintain standardized work procedures for PLC troubleshooting, testing and automated equipment controls with several Manufacturing Engineering peers
- Assist in all areas of automated equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure the cell team meets the equipment yield and availability targets
- Troubleshoot and maintain all controls components such as PLC, safety devices, HMI, servo drives, process hardware and robots
- Thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment and able to manage multiple priorities
- Operate equipment using internal or 3rd party software to decipher logs and troubleshoot equipment
