The Site Surveyor will be part of Tesla's Energy Operations team, working collaboratively with other team members to successfully complete site surveys in support of residential photovoltaic solar system installations, battery storage, and EV wall connector installations. This role is ideal for a skilled and motivated individual who is willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess job site conditions upon arrival, measuring roof planes, vents, dormers, and chimneys.
- Measure and access attic structures and conditions, capturing shade readings.
- Draw, document, and photograph roofs, attics, and sites, uploading site assessment documentation into cloud storage using company software.
- Perform other tasks and duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry is preferred.
- Showcase excellent problem-solving skills, safely handling power tools, hand tools, ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment.
- Excellent customer service, strong written and verbal communication, along with computer skills are essential.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment, assisting with Installation and/or other departments when available.
- Business needs may require travel to other Operations Centers for up to two weeks at a time.
