We are seeking someone who is hardworking and passionate about solving the climate problem. In this role you'll be expected to leverage your thorough electrical, mechanical, and software engineering understanding, as well as knowledge of the global home energy market to guide our hardware and software product roadmap. Additionally, you will own product messaging and strategic content creation, identifying key product advantages and selling propositions to create effective product content, used by our marketing teams. This role requires collaboration internally across engineering and business operations, as well as externally with partners and end customers, to ensure the successful development and sustained improvement of our products.
Responsibilities
- Be the voice of the customer, installer, support agent throughout product development and ensure that our product roadmap is delivering maximum user value
- Write product requirements from first principles to guide engineering development and ensure customer delight, simplicity, and market capture
- Work with engineering through technical design decisions and tradeoffs, ensuring the customer and installer requirements are met
- Conduct fleet, market, and competitor analysis, as well as end user interviews, to foster data driven, customer centric product decision making
- Define key success metrics for features and establish analytics to track adoption and surface issues
- Create effective and engaging product marketing content such as technical white papers, sales materials and web content, educating our different customer types on product value propositions, product functionality, reliability and competitive edge
- Translate detailed engineering specifications and performance data into digestible content that can be used by our marketing team to create targeted messaging campaigns
- Communicate clearly to senior leadership on key timeline risks and complex product tradeoffs, enabling teams to make the right decisions quickly

108,000 - $228,000 / annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
